Or,

About me

I earned a degree in geology in 2010. While attending school, I worked on the curatorial staff of a natural history museum where I cataloged and preserved fossil specimens.

In 2011, I studied and taught geology as a university laboratory instructor in Arizona where I led field trips to Grand Canyon National Park, Sedona and Grand Escalante National Monument. I developed hands-on laboratory activities for college-level geology courses including Physical Geology, Geologic Disasters, Historical Geology, and Paleontology. Since then, I have also taught high school earth science classes, led geology trips around Connecticut, and worked in a variety of analytical laboratories. I currently work full-time in a petroleum laboratory, however engaging the public in earth science education events and demonstrations is a hobby of mine which I am very passionate about.

Throughout my geological studies and academic adventures I have amassed an extensive collection of specimens that hold immense educational value. The goal of Sherwood Geological is to make my collection of geological specimens accessible to researchers, academics and educators.

In addition, I am available to give lectures, demonstrations, and to lead educational hikes. I can be reached at sherwoodgeological@gmail.com
